Police apprehend driver after high-speed chase in St. Pölten

Police in Austria conducted a high-speed pursuit on the A1 motorway involving a driver reaching speeds of up to 196 km/h in a 130 km/h zone. After ignoring police signals, the driver fled via the S33 toward St. Pölten.

The driver, a 26-year-old man from Vienna, was eventually located near his abandoned vehicle in St. Pölten. Subsequent checks revealed that the individual did not possess a valid driver's license and tested positive for narcotics. He faces charges through the relevant administrative authorities.
