Police arrest man suspected of multiple assaults on sex workers in Germany
Police in the Ludwigsburg district of Baden-Württemberg have arrested a 33-year-old man suspected of a series of violent attacks against sex workers. Investigators believe the man used internet portals to arrange meetings with victims.
According to authorities, the suspect is linked to three specific incidents. In August, an attempted assault occurred in Kornwestheim. Shortly after, in Weissach, the man allegedly used a firearm to threaten and rape a woman before stealing cash. A third incident was reported in Tamm on October 1, involving assault, rape, and theft.
Following what police described as ‘fast and efficient investigations,’ officers searched the suspect's residence on October 5 and took him into custody. He is currently in pretrial detention as authorities investigate whether there are additional victims.
