Mexico City Violence Target Alberto Arrested in Hidalgo

Authorities seized 31‑year‑old Alberto, identified as a priority target linked to organized violence in Mexico City's Azcapotzalco district. He was captured without incident in a recreational center on the Tulancingo‑Metepec highway in the state of Hidalgo. During the operation, agents recovered several doses of narcotics in his possession.

The capture resulted from a coordinated effort by the Secretaría de Seguridad y Protección Ciudadana (SSPC), the Centro Nacional de Inteligencia (CNI), the Secretaría de Seguridad Ciudadana of Mexico City (SSC‑CDMX), the Fiscalía General de Justicia of Mexico City (FGJCDMX) and the Secretaría de Seguridad Pública of Hidalgo (SSPH). Alberto is linked to a prior femicide and at least five homicides in Azcapotzalco and now faces prosecution for drug‑related offenses and violent crimes.
