Police arrest suspects in Rewa brawl and Auraiya animal cruelty cases

Police in India have made several arrests following two separate incidents of violence captured on video.

In Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, three individuals—identified as Sunil, Badal, and Vivek—were arrested by the Amhiya police after a video of a public brawl went viral. The altercation occurred near Shilpi Plaza at Rasiya Mohalla Mod following a Tiranga Yatra procession. An additional superintendent of police's vehicle was passing by during the dispute, and a constable intervened to calm the situation before the suspects fled in an e-rickshaw.

In Auraiya, Uttar Pradesh, a man named Sandeep was arrested by the Dibiyapur police for the brutal killing of a cat. A video circulating on social media showed the suspect repeatedly striking the animal with sticks. While a voice in the video suggested the animal may have harmed a child, police proceeded with the arrest following public outcry over the animal cruelty incident.
