Criminal incidents and traffic accidents reported in Hungary and Romania

Multiple criminal incidents and traffic accidents have been reported across Hungary and Romania.

In Hungary, a high-speed chase occurred near Tihany involving a driver under the influence of cocaine and THC. The suspect, driving a vehicle with Austrian plates, fled from police, injured several officers, and eventually crashed into a utility pole in Balatonfüred. He has been detained on multiple charges including violence against officials and driving under the influence.

Other notable incidents in Hungary include a severe crash in Kaposvár where a 20-year-old driver struck a utility pole, and a collision in Nagyrécse involving a Ford and a Mercedes that resulted in one serious injury and a vehicle fire. In Hódmezővásárhely, an electric minibus from the University of Szeged was involved in a collision with a passenger car.

In Romania, a 25-year-old man led police on a chase in Kolozsvár after stealing a car, during which he struck two vehicles and a pedestrian. Additionally, in Maroshévíz, two men were arrested for allegedly attacking a taxi driver and stealing his vehicle.
