Police arrest three men in Kittsee for high-value e-bike theft
Police in Kittsee, Burgenland, have arrested three men in connection with the theft of a high-priced e-bike from Vienna. The theft was tracked via GPS, leading officers to a vehicle in the Kittsee shopping center area.
Upon inspection, authorities discovered the e-bike, valued at approximately 15,000 euros, hidden under a blanket inside the vehicle. Investigations further revealed that the vehicle used by the suspects was also reported stolen. A power angle grinder, suspected to be a tool used in the crimes, was also recovered.
The suspects include two Slovak nationals, aged 47 and 49, and a 24-year-old Ukrainian national. The 49-year-old Slovak man has been transferred to the Vienna-Josefstadt detention center, while the other two suspects were released pending further investigation. The stolen e-bike has been returned to its owner.
