Police arrest two suspects in Novica Elek murder investigation
Serbian police have arrested two individuals, identified as N. K. and S. B., in connection with the murder of Novica Elek. The arrests were the result of a coordinated operation involving the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Criminal Police Directorate, and the Security Intelligence Agency (BIA).
Elek was fatally shot last Saturday. Investigators also arrested B. S., who is suspected of planting a GPS tracking device under Elek’s vehicle to monitor his movements. The suspects have been detained for up to 48 hours pending their appearance before the prosecutor's office.
Novica Elek, 45, had a significant criminal history, including past involvement in a high-profile armed robbery and a conviction for domestic violence.
