Police conduct raids on illegal sex businesses in Delhi and Taipei

Police in Delhi and Taipei have conducted separate raids targeting illegal sex businesses.

In Delhi, authorities busted a racket operating out of a spa in the Paharganj area. Four individuals, including the owner and manager, were arrested. During the raid, police rescued eight women aged between 22 and 34, who originated from Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, West Bengal, and Nepal. An investigation is ongoing to identify other members of the network.

In Taipei, officers from the Wanhua police precinct and the National Immigration Agency raided a business in the Wanhua district. The operation resulted in the detention of 17 Thai women, one Vietnamese woman, two male customers, and the male operator. Police noted that ten of the Thai women had overstayed their permitted stay in Taiwan. The operator had reportedly used security cameras to monitor for police presence and avoided online advertising to evade detection.
