Police detain drug suspects in Cancun and Castro Urdiales

Authorities in Cancun, Mexico, arrested 49‑year‑old Luis Antonio “N” after a joint operation involving the municipal police, the state prosecutor, the National Guard, the Defense Ministry and the Navy seized plastic bags containing marijuana and a crystalline substance identified as crystal.

In Castro Urdiales, Spain, the Civil Guard detained a 28‑year‑old man from Bizkaia during a night‑time operation targeting a nightlife area. Officers found several packets of cocaine, hashish and three pills, as well as a joint of marijuana, which were seized for analysis.

Both operations were part of broader security initiatives – Cancun’s “Blindaje Cancún” program and Spain’s “Operación Verano/Plan Ocio Seguro” – aimed at preventing drug trafficking and protecting public safety.
