Police dismantle cannabis plantations in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Police in Bosnia and Herzegovina have conducted separate operations targeting the unauthorized production of narcotics, resulting in the discovery of cannabis plantations in two different regions.

In the municipality of Grude, within the West Herzegovina Canton, authorities discovered a plantation of plants resembling Indian hemp. An individual identified by the initials M. M. admitted to the unauthorized production and distribution of drugs. The case has been referred to the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of West Herzegovina Canton.

In the Una-Sana Canton, investigators discovered a cannabis plantation on a hill in the Badić area of Bosanska Krupa. The operation led to the arrest of a father and his two sons. Police seized 49 cannabis plants along with irrigation equipment, surveillance cameras, pots, canisters, and a vacuum sealing device containing traces of plant material. The suspects face charges related to the unauthorized production and sale of narcotic drugs.
