Police dismantle truck theft ring in Brazil
The Civil Police of the Federal District (PCDF) dismantled a criminal organization specialized in stealing high-value pickup trucks, including Toyota Hilux and SW4 models. The operation resulted in 10 arrest warrants and 10 search and seizure warrants being executed across the Federal District and Goiás.
Investigations revealed the group operated with a rigid hierarchy between July 2025 and August 2026. The organization was led by Anderson Rodrigues, who planned and directed operations, and Andresa Tayna, who was responsible for renting vehicles used to support criminal activities. The group's process involved technical support for bypassing security, altering license plates and chassis numbers, and transporting vehicles to other states for sale on the illegal market or exchange for drugs.
The investigation was triggered after the theft of a Toyota Hilux in Guará, where real-time tracking allowed police to recover the vehicle and arrest suspects in the act, subsequently mapping the entire network.
