Vehicle theft ring dismantling in Brazil

Overview

The Civil Police of the Federal District (PCDF) dismantled a criminal organization specialized in stealing high-value pickup trucks, such as Toyota Hilux and SW4 models. Operating between July 2025 and August 2026, the group followed a rigid hierarchy led by Anderson Rodrigues and Andresa Tayna.

The organization utilized technical support to bypass security, alter license plates and chassis numbers, and transport vehicles to other states for illegal sale or exchange for drugs. The investigation began after the theft of a Toyota Hilux in Guará, where real-time tracking enabled police to recover the vehicle and arrest suspects, eventually mapping the entire network. The operation resulted in 10 arrest warrants and 10 search and seizure warrants across the Federal District and Goiás.
