Police impose dispersal orders in Stoke-on-Trent and Manchester to curb anti‑social behaviour

Stoke‑on‑Trent Police placed a Section 34 dispersal order on Festival Park from 9 pm on Saturday 26 June until 6 am on Sunday 27 June. The measure, aimed at stopping boy‑racing and vehicle‑related anti‑social behaviour, follows several similar orders issued over recent weekends.

Greater Manchester Police introduced a Section 35 dispersal order covering Gorton Train Station, Hyde Road, Matthews Lane, Gorton Lower Reservoir and Pink Bank Lane. Running from Thursday 25 June until Saturday 27 June, the order responds to reports of youth fights and harassment of the public. Both forces emphasized the orders give officers powers to exclude persons or groups to prevent further disturbances.
