Police in Aurangabad and Prayagraj conduct intensive crime control raids

Police in Aurangabad and Prayagraj have conducted intensive operations to curb crime and illegal activities.

In Aurangabad, a crackdown led by Superintendent of Police Upendra Nath Verma resulted in the arrest of 49 individuals. The arrests include charges related to the SC/ST Act, assault on police, rape, attempted murder, and violations of the Prohibition Act. During the operation, police seized 50.5 liters of country-made liquor and three liters of foreign liquor. Additionally, officers inspected 1,053 vehicles and executed 121 warrants.

In the Prayagraj Commissionerate, specifically within the Ganganagar zone, 33 police teams raided 80 locations to target cow smuggling and slaughter. The operation spanned multiple areas, including Handia, Soraon, and Nawabganj. While 72 suspects were verified, four individuals were arrested. Authorities stated they are maintaining a zero-tolerance policy toward smuggling networks and will continue monitoring suspicious activities.
