Police in Da Nang investigate illegal drug trafficking case

Police in the Hoi An Dong ward of Da Nang have uncovered an illegal drug trafficking ring involving three individuals. The investigation began after Pham Thuong admitted to purchasing crystal methamphetamine on seven separate occasions for two other individuals in exchange for payment.

Following the investigation, authorities identified Nguyen Thi Hue as the supplier, who in turn admitted to purchasing drugs from Phan Thi Huyen Trinh. During a search of Trinh’s residence, police seized a bag containing suspected narcotics and drug paraphernalia. Both Hue and Trinh tested positive for methamphetamine and amphetamines during rapid urine tests.

Authorities are currently compiling documentation to process the case and the involved suspects.
