Dominican Republic police arrest four Colombians for armed robberies
The Dominican Republic's National Police, through the Central Investigation Directorate (DICRIM), arrested four Colombian nationals suspected of involvement in several armed robberies in exclusive sectors of the National District, including Piantini.
The detainees have been identified as Fabio Nelson Herrera Bedoya, Carlos Andrés López Usuga, Víctor Alfonzo Salamanca Cruz, and Diego Alexander Cetina Liberato. The arrests followed reports of violent thefts, including one incident where a victim was stripped of an 18-karat gold Rolex Cosmograph Daytona.
During the operation, authorities seized a Smith & Wesson 9mm pistol with 13 cartridges, recovered the stolen luxury watch, and confiscated two vehicles, a motorcycle, and six mobile phones. One suspect was also found in possession of a Colombian driver's license and a suspected false identity document.
