Police in Fabriano rescue young man from railway bridge

Police officers in Fabriano successfully rescued a 24-year-old man who attempted to jump from the San Cristoforo railway bridge. The incident occurred after the young man, who was experiencing severe psychological distress, fled from the Engles Profili hospital emergency room after initially agreeing to receive medical assistance.

Upon being located near the bridge, the man had climbed over the metal safety barrier and was leaning over the edge, approximately 15 meters above the railway tracks. Two police officers engaged in a dialogue to calm him and cautiously climbed over the railing to maintain physical contact. Despite the risk to their own safety, the officers managed to grab the man by his arms and prevent his fall. He was subsequently secured and handed over to medical personnel for treatment.
