Police in India arrest several individuals in drug-related operations

Law enforcement agencies in India have conducted multiple operations resulting in several arrests for drug possession.

In Jammu and Kashmir, police in the Shopian, Kulgam, and Anantnag districts arrested six individuals. Seized substances included charas, cannabis, and heroin. In Shopian, two men were apprehended with approximately 60 grams of a charas-like substance each. In Kulgam, police recovered 860 grams of a cannabis-like substance and 12.05 grams of charas from an auto-rickshaw driver. In Anantnag, another individual was caught with 119 grams of charas powder.

In Himachal Pradesh, the Kangra Police arrested three men in Dharamshala following a raid on a rented room. Authorities recovered 120.23 grams of charas from the suspects. Investigations in both regions are ongoing to determine the sources and supply chains of the seized contraband.
