Police in Santhià rescue man threatening suicide on railway tracks

Railway police in Santhià successfully intervened to save a 31-year-old man who threatened to jump in front of an oncoming train. After receiving a report of a person walking along the tracks toward Turin, officers located the man sitting on the railway line with his back to an approaching train.

Following a dialogue intended to reassure him, officers convinced the man to move away from the tracks. He was taken to the Santhià Railway Police station for assistance until medical personnel arrived and transported him to a hospital in Vercelli for treatment.
