Police investigate 21 youths for street racing in Vung Tau

Police in Ho Chi Minh City and Vung Tau Ward have identified 21 teenagers involved in causing public disorder through illegal street racing with modified electric vehicles. The group gained notoriety after videos of their dangerous driving—including wheelies, high-speed racing, and weaving through traffic—were posted to the Facebook account ‘Ba Ria Youth’ to gain social media engagement.

Investigations revealed that the group used private Facebook groups to coordinate their gatherings. To evade law enforcement, the participants employed a sophisticated logistics plan, including hiring a 16-seater van and a truck to transport their modified vehicles to the area. One individual, Huynh Thien Bao, was identified as the person responsible for renting a villa and the transport vehicles used by the group.
