Police investigate series of burglaries and thefts in Bergen and Lübeck

Police in Germany have reported several property crimes across different regions. In the Bergen area, the Celle Police Inspection noted a series of thefts and attempted burglaries occurring in early October 2026. These incidents include the theft of a large quantity of diesel from a construction site on Alten Straße, an unsuccessful attempt to break into a warehouse on Celler Straße, and a burglary at the Käthe-Kollwitz-Schule.

In Lübeck, a residential burglary occurred on October 11, 2026, in the city center near Königstraße. A cello valued at approximately 6,000 euros was stolen from an apartment. The instrument and its case were later discovered by passersby in a green space between Fleischhauerstraße and Dr. Julius-Leber-Straße. The Lübeck District Criminal Inspection is investigating the incident and seeking witnesses who may have seen individuals carrying the instrument.
