Police investigate sexual assaults in Würzburg and Chemnitz
Police in Würzburg and Chemnitz are conducting investigations following two separate reports of sexual assault in their respective city centers.
In Würzburg, a 24-year-old woman was assaulted in a park during the early hours of Saturday morning. The incident occurred after she was walking through the city center with an acquaintance. The suspect is described as a bald man, approximately 25 to 30 years old, standing between 160 and 165 centimeters tall with a muscular build, who was reportedly speaking Turkish. Authorities are seeking witnesses who were near the ‘Rathaus’ tram stop or in a city center park during that time.
In Chemnitz, a 25-year-old woman reported being raped during the night between Thursday and Friday. The victim and a friend were intercepted by two men while walking toward a parked car. One man distracted the friend while the other pulled the victim into bushes near Brückenstraße. The perpetrator, described as a thin man approximately 1.75 meters tall with black wavy hair and a three-day beard, reportedly spoke Persian with his accomplice. The attacker fled after hearing an unknown female passerby nearby. Police are searching for witnesses and specifically the unidentified woman who spoke in the area.
