Sexual offense investigations in Germany
Overview
Police in several German cities are conducting investigations into multiple reports of sexual assault and offenses.
In Würzburg, authorities investigated an assault on a 24-year-old woman in a city center park. The suspect is described as a muscular, bald man between 25 and 30 years old, approximately 160 to 165 centimeters tall, who was reportedly speaking Turkish. Police are seeking witnesses who were near the ‘Rathaus’ tram stop or in a city center park during the incident.
In Chemnitz, a 25-year-old woman reported being raped near Brückenstraße. The victim and a friend were intercepted by two men; one man distracted the friend while the other pulled the victim into bushes. The perpetrator is described as a thin man, approximately 1.75 meters tall with black wavy hair and a three-day beard, who reportedly spoke Persian with his accomplice. Authorities are specifically searching for an unidentified female passerby who was in the area at the time.
Later in the month, investigations continued in other regions. Additionally, in Altenburg, Thuringia, investigators are searching for a suspect who allegedly lured and abused a minor near Pauritzer Park on October 6.
