Police investigate two separate homicide cases in Brazil

Authorities in Brazil are investigating two distinct incidents involving deceased men.

In Campos dos Goytacazes, Wanderley Laurindo Coutinho was found dead on the Estrada de Cambaíba. The victim was discovered gagged with gunshot wounds to the head. Police recovered .380 caliber shell casings near the body. While the victim's sister mentioned a recent cattle transaction and a possible suspicion regarding an ex-partner, no motive has been established. The victim reportedly had a criminal record.

In Petrópolis, a man identified by locals as Gerson was found dead along the BR-040 highway near the Serra de Petrópolis descent. The body was discovered by children passing through the area. While a small bottle of alcohol was found near the corpse, police have not established a link to the death. The circumstances of the death remain under investigation by the 105th Police Station.
