Police officer’s wife and child found dead in Feira de Santana

A 38‑year‑old woman identified as Taís dos Santos Pereira and her 3‑year‑old son were discovered dead on Saturday morning inside their home in the Muchila neighbourhood of Feira de Santana, Bahia. Police investigations indicate the woman may have killed her child before taking her own life, leading authorities to classify the case as homicide followed by suicide. The incident was handled by the 67th Independent Company of the Military Police, with the Civil Police’s Homicide Division conducting forensic examinations. The Bahia Military Police issued a statement expressing deep sorrow, confirming assistance is being provided to the officer husband and the victims’ relatives while the investigation continues.
