Police pursue multiple fraud suspects in Jamaica and Kenya
Police in Jamaica and Kenya are pursuing multiple suspects involved in various fraudulent schemes.
In Jamaica, the Jamaica Constabulary Force has issued a wanted list for Brent Lynch, Marlon Smith, and Roshene Grindley. Lynch is wanted after absconding bail following a guilty plea regarding an $18 million fraud. Smith is sought for allegedly collecting J$1.3 million and US$6,000 for motor vehicles that were never delivered. Grindley was convicted in her absence for uttering forged documents and obtaining credit by fraud.
In Kenya, authorities arrested 37-year-old Phyllis Njagi during an operation targeting SIM-swap fraud. Suspects allegedly posed as government employees conducting Social Health Authority (SHA) registration to steal personal details and access victims' mobile money. While Njagi was apprehended in Mtwapa, an accomplice, John Mutesa Mango, remains at large. Police recovered several insurance certificates and number-plate casings during the arrest.
