Police raids in England result in drug and firearms arrests

A police drug warrant in Wem, Shropshire, led to the arrest of a 25‑year‑old man on suspicion of supplying class A drugs. Officers seized a quantity of class B drugs, digital devices, snap bags and scales believed to be linked to drug supply. The suspect remains in custody while investigations continue.

In Wallsend, North Tyneside, police executed a search warrant at a property on Cotterdale, recovering several suspected firearms and ammunition. Four people – two men aged 61 and 19 and two women aged 48 and 23 – were arrested on suspicion of possessing firearms. All four remain in police custody, and officers have said there is no wider risk to the public.
