Police Recover 43 Million Pesos Stolen from Rionegro Home, Arrest Two Suspects
Authorities in Rionegro, Colombia, recovered the full amount of approximately 43 million pesos that had been taken from a safe in a residence in the El Porvenir neighborhood. Prompt citizen reporting and coordinated action by the National Police, the municipal monitoring center, and officials from Rionegro and Medellín led to the identification and interception of the suspects' vehicle in Medellín. Two individuals were arrested, the safe was seized, and an additional firearm and communication equipment were confiscated.
