Police report multiple traffic accidents in Cyprus

Police in Cyprus reported several traffic accidents involving impaired driving and negligence. In one incident on the Nicosia Northern Ring Road, a driver with 97 mg/dl of alcohol in their system lost control near the Sanayi roundabout and struck a lighting pole.

On the Famagusta-Nicosia main road, another driver with 97 mg/dl of alcohol lost control and drove into an empty field, striking an earth embankment. No injuries were reported in either of these alcohol-related incidents, and legal action has been initiated against both drivers.

A third accident occurred on the Nicosia Northern Ring Road near the Hamitköy roundabout. A driver struck a parked vehicle on the shoulder, injuring the driver of the stationary car. The injured individual was taken to Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital for treatment.
