Sisak‑Moslavina police seize drugs, firearms and explosives in twin‑brother arrest

Police from the Sisak‑Moslavina Directorate arrested two men, ages 37 and 33, from the Petrinja area after a months‑long investigation into illicit drug production and trafficking. A vehicle stop near Lekenik led to the discovery of more than one kilogram of amphetamine (1,000 g), 46.6 g of cocaine, an automatic pistol with magazine and ammunition, a silencer, a boxer‑shaped knife, a hand‑made explosive device containing 427 g of TNT, a detonator capsule, a hand‑bomb and a GPS tracker. The suspects also possessed a police registration plate and additional explosives‑related equipment.

Authorities say the seizure prevents a larger quantity of narcotics from reaching the illegal market and removes the risk of the weapons and explosives being used in violent disputes among traffickers. The men were taken into custody and handed over to the prison supervisor of the Sisak‑Moslavina Police Directorate pending further prosecution.
