Police units in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina mark 35th anniversaries
Commemorations are being held in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina to mark the 35th anniversary of police mobilization and special units formed during the early 1990s.
In Mali Erjavac, Croatia, the TRN Special Purpose Police Unit held a ceremony to honor its 35-year history. The event included former members, commanders, and local officials who gathered to remember the unit's role in the defense of Karlovac and its surrounding areas. A tribute was paid to fallen members, including Đonija Polović, with floral offerings laid at a memorial.
In Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, a large police parade titled ‘From the First Call to the Defense of the State’ was organized to mark 35 years since the mobilization of the reserve police force of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The parade, which moved from the Eternal Flame to Skenderija, featured various police agencies, academy cadets, and veterans from the 1991–1995 period, alongside police technical equipment.
