Polimex Mostostal withdraws from CPK terminal tender
A consortium comprising Polimex Mostostal, Hochtief Polska, and Hochtief Infrastrukture has announced its withdrawal from the tender to build the Central Communication Port (CPK) passenger terminal. The project is valued at over 5 billion PLN.
Polimex Mostostal cited unacceptable implementation risks, unfavorable contractual conditions, and technical and business ambiguities as reasons for the withdrawal. The company also expressed concerns regarding the established deadline for submitting bids. This departure reduces the number of participating consortia in the competitive dialogue from five to four.
Additionally, reports indicate that CPK faces significant funding challenges. While the CPK Investment Program projected receiving over 19 billion PLN for airport and rail components between 2024 and 2026, the company has only received 5.4 billion PLN to date.
