Polimill conducts generative AI training for Japanese municipalities

Polimill is conducting specialized training sessions for Japanese local governments to enhance the use of its administrative generative AI tool, ‘QommonsAI’.

In Otawara City, Tochigi Prefecture, the company held hybrid training sessions for approximately 40 local staff members on-site and 200 participants online. The curriculum included beginner and intermediate levels, focusing on practical applications such as parliamentary response and prompt engineering.

Similarly, in Shiraoka City, Saitama Prefecture, training was provided to all staff and management, as well as officials from neighboring Kazo and Gyoda cities. These sessions emphasized practical skills like document summarization and inquiry handling to ensure staff can effectively integrate AI into daily administrative tasks.

QommonsAI is designed to support municipal problem-solving by utilizing an evidence-based approach, drawing from tens of millions of data points including laws, policies, and academic papers. As of July 2026, the platform is reportedly used by approximately 1,000 municipalities and 500,000 users for tasks ranging from policy planning to public relations.
