Polimill generative AI training for Japanese municipalities

Overview

Polimill continues to expand its support for Japanese municipalities through specialized training for its administrative generative AI tool, ‘QommonsAI’. To facilitate behavioral changes in trainees, the company implemented instructor training focused on communication skills and building trust.

In Miyama City, the curriculum emphasized practical applications such as generating meeting minutes from audio and creating citizen surveys. Participants noted that the AI’s ability to prompt users for necessary information made tasks like survey creation more efficient than traditional methods.

As of July 2026, the QommonsAI platform is reportedly used by approximately 1,000 municipalities and 500,000 users for tasks including policy planning, council responses, and public relations.
