Polish Army opens July 'Wakacje z wojskiem' training at 15th Signal Brigade in Sieradz
The Polish Army is launching the third edition of its "Wakacje z wojskiem" summer program, offering free, voluntary 27‑day military training to young adults. The upcoming July session runs from 13 July to 8 August at the 15th Signal Brigade in Sieradz and is open to high‑school graduates, university students and other eligible participants.
The initiative, aimed at people aged 18 and over who are Polish citizens with no criminal record, provides a stipend of about 6,000 zł gross, full board, accommodation, uniforms, medical care and insurance. Participants receive basic tactical instruction, weapons safety, field survival skills and hands‑on experience with selected military equipment. After completing the course, trainees may pursue further specialist training, territorial service, reserve duty or professional military careers.
Previous editions of "Wakacje z wojskiem" attracted roughly 21,000 volunteers across nearly 90 locations nationwide.
