Polish Basketball League launches 2025‑31 strategy as Volleyball League secures TAURON title sponsorship

The Polish Basketball League (PLK) unveiled a comprehensive development plan for 2025‑2031, created with consultancy EY‑Parthenon. The strategy aims to make basketball the second‑most popular team sport in Poland and lift the PLK into the top five European leagues by 2031, outlining standards for club organization, finance and sporting performance.

In parallel, the Polish Volleyball League signed a new title‑sponsorship agreement with TAURON Polska Energia. The deal, running at least until the 2029‑30 season, grants TAURON naming rights for the four principal volleyball leagues in the country. TAURON President Grzegorz Lot said the partnership supports the sport’s teamwork values and will bring fans closer to the game. Preparatory matches for the 2026‑27 season are scheduled for August, featuring the Jaworzno team MCKiS Jaworzno.
