Polish Biedronka loyalty program bars inheritance of points after death

The loyalty scheme "Moja Biedronka" operated by the Polish retailer Biedronka is tied to a single individual. Regulations state that the account, accumulated points and coupons cannot be transferred to heirs; they cease to exist upon the holder's death. The same non‑inheritability rule applies to Lidl's "Lidl Plus" program.

In practice, many families continue to use the same phone number linked to a deceased member's account to obtain discounts, but the retailer may block or delete the account if a violation is detected. The safest course advised is to stop using the deceased person's card and open a new personal account.
