Poland law enforcement conducts various border and security interventions

Polish law enforcement and Border Guard units conducted several interventions across the country on August 25.

In the Bieszczady National Park, thermal imaging cameras detected two Polish men camping illegally near the state border. After attempting to flee into the forest, the men were found hiding behind trash cans and were each fined 500 PLN for violating nature protection laws.

The Nadodrzański Border Guard Unit detained 12 foreigners for various violations, including illegal stays and criminal activities such as drug possession and driving under the influence. Ten individuals were ordered to leave Poland, while two Ukrainian citizens were escorted to the border. Additionally, a 29-year-old Ukrainian resident of Gostyń was deported and received a six-year ban on re-entering Poland following repeated legal violations.

At Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport, Border Guard officers intervened twice on incoming flights. A Turkish citizen was fined 500 PLN for consuming alcohol and behaving vulgarly toward crew members on a flight from Tirana. Later, a resident of Mława was fined 500 PLN for smoking in a plane toilet on a flight from Egypt.
