Polish Catholic clergy honor priests Andrzej Wachowski and Wiesław Hudek in June ceremonies

Father Andrzej Wachowski, born on 29 November 1946, died on 28 June. His funeral rites were held on 1 July at the Archdiocesan House for Senior Priests in Gniezno and a mass on 2 July at the Church of St. Lawrence, presided over by Bishop Radosław Orchowicz, followed by burial in the Witkowska cemetery.

On the same day, 28 June, Father Wiesław Hudek was bade farewell in Turza Śląska at the sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima before taking up a new parish in Mysłowice. During his five‑year tenure he expanded pilgrimages, introduced new organ installations, organized festivals such as Fide et Amore, and oversaw renovations of parish facilities, including a new accessible restroom block and roof repairs.
