Polish Catholic parishes hold major ceremonies in Limanowa and Cegłowo
In Limanowa, the Sanctuary of the Suffering Mother of God continued restoration work on the sanctuary square and a new granite paving. The parish announced gratitude for recent monetary donations ranging from a few hundred to several thousand zlotys and invited the faithful to upcoming summer services, a youth meeting, and a concert by a local choir celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Marian image. A charitable event with a blood‑donation point was also organized to raise funds for fire‑fighting equipment.
Meanwhile, in the parish of St. John the Baptist in Cegłowo, a solemn reconsecration of the church and the blessing of a new altar took place on 20 June 2026. The ceremony was led by Bishop Romuald Kamiński of the Warsaw–Praga diocese and attracted many parishioners and local guests. After the Mass, the community gathered for a parish fair with activities for children and adults, reinforcing communal ties.
