Poland hosts several major July pilgrimages to Jasna Góra, Wilno and other holy sites

The diocese of Tarnów opened registrations for the XLIV Tarnów Pilgrimage to Jasna Góra, which will begin on 17 August. Over nine days participants will walk more than 200 km, with the theme “Posłani” emphasizing missionary life. The pilgrimage is directed by Fr Paweł Broński and will feature sermons by Dr Hab. Wojciech Węgrzyniak.

On 9 July the 46th Przemyska Archdiocesan Pilgrimage continued its sixth day of travel, celebrating Eucharist celebrations in Luszowice, Janowiec, Zdziarzec and Żarówka, and a devotional service for the nation in Dąbrowa Tarnowska. Bishop Leszek Leszkiewicz addressed the pilgrims, urging deeper faith and missionary commitment.

From 1‑14 July the 42nd Youth Pilgrimage for the Sobriety of the Polish Nation marched from Warsaw to the historic Piast site. Organized by the Michałic clergy, the walk focuses on prayers for the nation’s sobriety and support for families affected by alcoholism, with participants such as seminarian Gabriel Kulpa joining.

Between 6‑9 July a group of 42 faithful from the parish of St James the Greater in Obrze travelled to the Shrine of Our Lady of the Gate of Dawn in Vilnius. Fr Grzegorz Rurański OMI led the journey, which included stops at the Gietrzwałd sanctuary, the Eucharistic miracle site in Sokółka and an overnight stay at the Wigry monastery.

On 7 July a study‑tour organized by MEP Jadwiga Wiśniewska visited the town of Colmar and vineyards in Alsace, France. Participants examined local churches, historic architecture and cultural heritage as part of a broader religious and cultural exchange.
