Polish Catholic youth retreats in Gniezno and Silesia gather over 50 participants

From 17 July to 2 August, the Light‑Life Movement of the Archdiocese of Gniezno organized summer oasis retreats in Lednica and Pakość. Three formation turnuses involved 53 young people who attended daily Mass, personal and communal prayer, small‑group meetings, Scripture reflection and activities aimed at deepening their faith. The programmes were led by priests Artur Gołańczyk, Waldemar Myka and Jarosław Wesołowski, with Bishop Radosław Orchowicz visiting the participants at Lednica.

On 24 July, Archbishop Andrzej Przybylski walked with youth from the Pszów pilgrimage site to the retreat house in Kokoszyce. The group prayed the rosary for new priestly, religious and missionary vocations, considered the mysteries of suffering, and discussed how to discern a call to service. Upon arrival, the archbishop shared his own vocation story and answered questions. The event coincided with the ongoing call for candidates to apply to the Higher Silesian Seminary, a deadline that remains until the end of August.
