Catholic youth retreats in Poland 2026

Overview

In July 2026 a series of Catholic youth events took place across Poland. From 17 July to 2 August the Light‑Life Movement of the Archdiocese of Gniezno held summer oasis retreats in Lednica and Pakość, bringing together 53 participants for daily Mass, prayer, Scripture reflection and vocation‑oriented activities. Archbishops Andrzej Przybylski and Radosław Orchowicz visited the sites, praying for new vocations and encouraging discernment.

Later in the month, from 19 – 25 July, about thirty young parishioners attended the annual Franciscan Youth Meeting at the Kalwaria Pacławska pilgrimage site near Przemyśl, featuring Mass, workshops and small‑group discussions. Simultaneously, from 17 – 19 July a community from Des Plaines, Illinois, spent a retreat at the Carmelite monastery in Munster, Poland, focusing on hope through the spirituality of St John of the Cross and concluding with the reception of a new community member. Both gatherings underscored the emphasis on prayer, fellowship and spiritual formation within the Polish Catholic context.
