Polish cattle and broad bean markets see stable or rising prices as supply tightens

In Poland, wholesale prices for slaughter cattle remained largely unchanged this week, with most collection points keeping rates at pre‑holiday levels. Slightly higher cattle deliveries were noted, attributed to reduced field work and weaker first‑cut grass yields prompting some farmers to sell earlier. Prices ranged from 12.50‑14.00 PLN per bull and 8.50‑13.00 PLN per cow, with higher‑grade EUROP cattle quoted at 24.50‑27.00 PLN.

Broad beans (bob) continued to trade at elevated prices, staying near 20‑22 PLN for a 0.5 kg pack. Limited supply stems from a combination of drought‑induced pod loss and spring frosts that damaged up to half of the crop in some Lublin farms. Retail demand remains strong, but the high price is expected to persist for another week or more until field harvests increase.

Both commodity sectors reflect tight supply conditions that keep prices high for Polish producers and consumers.
