Polish cities begin major road and drainage upgrades

In Radom, work has started on the reconstruction of Sadkowska Street in the Osiedle nad Potokiem district. The project will connect two dead‑end sections, add sidewalks on both sides, create three new parking bays, install new storm‑water drainage, street lighting and other utilities. Contractor Budromost‑Starachowice from Wąchock will complete the works by 23 October at a cost of over 1.63 million zł.

In Poznań, a large 1.2‑metre diameter storm‑water channel is being built on Biskupińska Street, linking the streets Liryczna, Waśniowska and Literacka. The investment also expands a nearby retention tank to a capacity of more than 7 000 m³, adds treatment devices and a pumping station, and includes new bike lanes and sidewalks on adjacent streets. The works have made Biskupińska temporarily impassable, with detours in place until the end of September.
