Polish Cities Bydgoszcz and Łódź Host Senior Health and Activity Events
Bydgoszcz will hold the "Aktywny Poranek 60+" event on a Sunday morning at the Immobile Łuczniczka hall. After a 9:00 a.m. yoga session, participants can choose a 2.5 km walk, run or Nordic‑walking route through the Brda area, with about 150 seniors expected. The event emphasizes gentle exercise, relaxation and social interaction, ending with a communal second‑breakfast and medals for all finishers.
In Łódź, the "Serce Łodzi bije dla Seniorów" festival takes place on 24 May at the Widzew Łódź stadium. Organized by the Widzew Łódź Foundation and the city, the free‑entry day offers a wide programme: health‑promotion panels on longevity and senior volunteering, fitness training, cultural performances by choirs and DJs, food‑truck catering, inflatable play areas for children, and free medical check‑ups at mobile partner stations. The event aims to promote active, healthy lifestyles and combat social isolation among seniors and families.
Both city initiatives target senior citizens, encouraging physical activity, preventive health care, and community engagement.
