Polish cities clean traffic signs and schedule extensive road repairs
In Gliwice, municipal road authorities have begun removing unauthorized stickers and advertisements from traffic signs, poles and other road infrastructure. The stickers, often placed by commercial interests, sports clubs or fan groups without permission, can obstruct signage and distract drivers, potentially affecting road safety. The cleanup, carried out by crews hired by the City Roads Management, will continue in other districts in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, Jaworzno’s Municipal Roads and Bridges Department has released a detailed plan for the second half of the year, outlining a series of road surface renewals, ground‑road modernisations and new lighting installations across multiple streets. Completed works include new parking spaces and sidewalks, with further upgrades slated for the coming months to improve traffic comfort and safety for residents.
