Polish cities cut parking rates and expand paid‑parking zones

In Szczecin, the underground Parkingowca Kwartału 36 will introduce a new tariff on 1 July. Hourly fees drop to 3 zł between 08:00‑17:00 on weekdays and to 1 zł at other times, while the resident subscription is reduced from 600 zł to 420 zł per month and the number of subscription spots rises from 20 to 80. Updated signage will also be installed.

The Warsaw city council has approved a phased expansion of the Unsupervised Paid Parking Zone (SPPN) to parts of Wola, Praga‑Południe, Mokotów and Włochy, with the first extensions expected in September 2026. The move aims to improve vehicle turnover and free up spaces for residents. Existing resident subscriptions remain at 30 zł per year, and the current base rate for the first hour in the zone is 4.50 zł.
