Polish cities Gdańsk and Zduńska Wola unveil new murals celebrating local culture

In Gdańsk, a new mural of business educator and Instagram influencer Karolina Orzechowska was painted on a pillar at the Kliniczna tram stop. The artwork originated from a viral Instagram reel that received about 79,000 views and attracted graffiti artist Dacjan Bekasiewicz, who created the portrait. The mural is positioned between the Twarda and Politechnika SKM tram stops and highlights how digital media can inspire public‑space art.

In Zduńska Wola, a municipal mural was inaugurated on 26 June at Sieradzka 4a. The piece was realised by students of the State Art High School under a project coordinated by the social housing company TBS Złotnicki. The design was created by Klaudia Dorcz and adapted for execution by Rozalia Kurek and Zofia Tarka. Vice‑mayor Paweł Szewczyk described the work as a visual manifesto that enriches the city’s identity. He also announced forthcoming large‑scale projects, including a new mural by artist Elżbieta Dymna (NeSpoon) and a sculpture by Wojciech Siudmak.
