Polish municipalities continue urban planning consultations

Entities: Gmina Szemud · Gmina Przemków · Gmina Morąg · Gmina Borzęcin · City of Bytom

Overview

Throughout July and into August 2026 Polish gminas have kept opening public‑consultation periods for their draft General Plans and related spatial‑development documents. The mayor of Morąg set a window from 27 July to 24 August, with an open meeting on 6 August and designer office hours on 6‑7 August. Piotrków Trybunalski began its comment period on 29 July, scheduling an open meeting for 18 August and designer sessions on 13 and 20 August. Bytom’s city council formally adopted its General Plan on 27 July, starting a 30‑day publication phase that will make the plan legally binding. In Przemków the final week for comments runs until 30 July after presentations on 13‑14 July and designer‑resident sessions. The Gmina of Szemud concluded a decision on a new 0.4 kV underground cable line on 23 July, closing the related public procedure. Mędrzechów announced a workshop for 20 August to gather input for its 2027‑2037 development strategy.

Newly added consultations include the mayor of Gmina Włocławek, who opened a public comment period for the municipality’s General Spatial Development Plan (including an environmental impact assessment) from 29 July to 25 August, with an open meeting on 10 August and designer office hours on 6 August and 19 August. Additionally, Gmina Borzęcin, together with neighboring Gminas Gnojnik and Iwkowa, posted simplified forest‑management plans for private and communal forests on 29 July; the documents remain on display until 2 October, and landowners may submit comments within 30 days, with telephone consultation sessions scheduled for 11 August and 9 September. These actions extend the broader pattern of municipalities seeking resident input on land‑use, infrastructure, and environmental management across Poland.
